Rebecca Taylor (organ) is associate conductor of the English Chamber Choir. She read music as organ scholar at Lincoln College, Oxford, before attending the Royal Academy of Music where she completed the MA in Piano Accompaniment and was a Junior Fellow. She gained a distinction in her LRAM teaching diploma and is currently a regular accompanist at the RAM. Rebecca won the Maureen Lehane Accompanist Prize at Wigmore Hall and in 2015, she accompanied the Welsh candidate in the Song Prize Competition of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, which was broadcast live on radio and TV. She was a concerto soloist with the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and also performed at venues including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and St Mark’s Basilica in Venice. She has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 & 4, made CD recordings and worked on a range of operas including a new work by Laura Bowler at the Royal Opera House. She is accompanist of the Leeds Festival Chorus, Assistant Conductor and Pianist with Twickenham Choral Society, and is currently Acting Head of Keyboard at Rugby School.
