Stainer - The Crucifixion

Our annual performance of John Stainer’s The Crucifixion takes place this year at St Mary Magdalene Church, Richmond, TW9 1SN, on Palm Sunday, 29th March 2026.

The 3pm concert opens with a rare opportunity to hear James MacMillan's 40 -part motet, Vidi Aquam.

Fresh on the heels of recent performances at The Royal Albert Hall, Barnes Festival and Buckingham Palace, ECC is joined by acclaimed vocal soloists Martin Hindmarsh (tenor) and John Holland-Avery (bass). The much-praised organ is played by Andreana Chan, one of the finest young organists of her generation.
